Our Early Literacy Skill this week is Phonological Awareness.
Basically this skill is an understanding of and pronunciation of the small vowel sounds in words. One way to help develop the skill is to read poetry to your child. Another is to play a word game, where you ask them what is black and rhymes with sat... they can come up with cat or bat or hat. The goal is to help them understand the rhyming aspect.

I loved the Mouse theme for your toddler time stories, but wonder how the books are chosen to read to the children.
I am the author of a new book of ten short stories for toddlers, and ask if you would consider it for your group.
It is titles William the Fairground Car.
