Princess Party 2013

On Saturday November 2nd,
we had our annual Princess Party






With activity sheets, crown making craft, 
pin the tiara on Rapunzel, story time, and a jewel race.

We would like to thank the Temple Terrace Juniorettes and the Friends of the Temple Terrace Library for their support both financial and of volunteers.

This Old Appalachian tale is brought to life through the use of puppets by The City of Tampa's Creative Arts Theater.            
Funded by Friends of the Temple Terrace Library.

Baby Time
Friday, October 11 10am
15 minutes of board books, bounces, and bubbles
for babies birth to 24 months and their caregivers

Experience Harry Potter!

We had a great time this past Saturday, October 5, 2013

Our Experience Harry Potter Event was a great time:
participants were assigned their houses by the sorting hat,


in History of Magic Hogwarts students answered trivia questions and received their wands,

in Study Hall students made a bookmark with their Hogwarts house colors,

in Potions class they participated in the cauldron toss,

at Hogsmeade they enjoyed chocolate frogs, pretzel wands, butter beer, pumpkin juice, and 
every flavor beans

they played Quidditch

and there were lots of photo opportunities

We're Back!

In September we start back with all of our programs:


BABYTIME
    For children birth - 24 months and their caregivers.
    FRIDAYS, September 6 - November 22 at 10 AM.
    15 minutes of board books, bubbles & bounces.

STORY TIME
   For toddlers and preschoolers ages 2 - 5 years old
with their caregiver.
WEDNESDAYS, September 4 - November 20 at 10:30 AM.
30 minutes of stories, songs & finger plays.

AFTER SCHOOL ART & MORE
For children 6-12 years of age
WEDNESDAYS,  September 4 - November 20 at 3:30 PM.
30 minutes of stories and arts & craft activities

BLOCK PARTY
For children 6 - 12,
45 minutes of fun
that incorporates building, creativity, and teamwork.
TUESDAYS, September 10, October 8, November 12 at 6 PM.

BLOCKS & BOOKS
For toddlers and preschoolers ages 2 - 5 years old
with their caregiver.
TUESDAYS,  October 29 and November 12; at 1 PM.
30 minutes of picture books and building blocks.



Saturday, September  14  2 PM    
Viva Florida 500
Celebrate Florida’s 500th birthday by learning about it’s past through activities, games, and a presentation about Spanish Conquistadors in Temple Terrace.

Saturday, October 5  10 AM
Experience Harry Potter
Like Harry Potter you will be sorted into Hogwarts Houses,    participate in classes, practice Quidditch, and sample drinks from Hogsmeade. There will be a prize for best costume!

Thursday, October 10  3 PM

Temple Terrace Reads!
Come celebrate reading and our neighborhood schools.
There will be entertainment, games, and the Fire Department
open house on Flotto Avenue  behind the library.

Princess Party
Come share in our celebration of all things princess!
We will read a few princess stories, play games,
and make princess crowns.

Over So Soon

We had so much fun this summer with our theme,
Dig Into Reading,
we had lots of great crafts, games, performers, snacks, and stories.

Keep reading!

On Tuesday, August 13th at 6pm we will celebrate the end of Summer Reading with an Ice Cream Party! Be sure to bring in your reading log to enter the party and the child in each age group with the most books read will win a Barnes & Noble gift card.
