Baby Time, Toddler Time, & Story Time!

This week's theme:
Funny Bunny

The word for this week is:
RABBIT / rabbit
During Baby Time {Friday, October 10, 10 AM} some of our stories will include:

Baby Animals: Black and White by Phyllis Limbacher Tildes
That’s not my bunny… by F. Watt and R. Wells
Little Miss Muffet illustrated by Tracey Moroney
Max’s Birthday by Rosemary Wells

For Toddler Time {Wednesday, October 8, 10:15 AM} our stories will include:

Bunny My Honey by Anita Jean
Max’s Bath by Rosemary Wells
Read to Your Bunny by Rosemary Wells
What Does Bunny See? By Linda Sue Park
Who Hops? by Katie Davis

For Pre-school Story Time {Wednesday, October 8, 11 AM} our stories will include:

Which Way, Ben Bunny? by Mavis Smith
Brown Rabbit’s Day by Alan Baker
Muncha! Muncha! Muncha! By Candace Fleming
The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown
Hare and Tortise Race to the Moon by Oliver J. Corwin

Our Early Literacy Skill is Narrative Skills:
Allowing the child to talk about the pictures in a book is a great way to develop a child’s narrative skills. For example, if a child points to a picture of a rabbit in the book the parent can ask “What color is the rabbit?” or “What does the rabbit like to eat?”

And that's not all!
We will have songs, rhymes, and finger plays.

How COOL you're reading my book Who Hops? this morning! I hope you see this comment in time...just yesterday I posted a little movie of me reading the book, hopefully to inspire teachers and librarians to use the jokes I do when I read the book to kids. If you want to see it, it's here, among other places:

Have fun!
