Early Literacy Skill: Letter Knowledge
For Babies, simple puzzles that use letters and board books that introduce the concept are great. For Toddlers, sing the alphabet song; give them letters that are foam or plastic magnets; point out the first letter in their name and all the common things that begin with the same letter. For Pre-Schoolers, have them practice writing their own name, or pick a letter and see how many things that they can name that begin with that letter.
