For babies, point to the picture of the object you are reading about so that the baby puts information about elephant with picture of elephant. For toddlers, make a blank book by stapling sheets of paper together - then let them but their name on the front and color pictures on the inside; they can make up a story or you can make up a story to go with the pictures. For pre-schoolers, ask themn questions about where is the cover or what do you think the book is about from looking at the pictures.
