Our Early Literacy skill for the Day is Narrative, as parent or caregiver we can help develop this skill by letting children tell us their own story or ask them questions about pictures in a book we are reading to them. Examples: Is that a dog? What sound does a dog make? What color is that dog? Do we have a dog? Let them build their own narrative to a story by asking them what they think is happening in pictures in the book.
